"Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt"

Netflix is really stepping out of the box for this new year by releasing more original content than ever before. One show that I have completed watching was the "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt." 

If you enjoy a true underdog story then you'll most likely very much be drawn to this show. The main premise of this show is about  KimmySchmidt  (Ellie Kemper), who  had been kidnapped as a teenager by the leader of a very miniature and cramped doomsday cult by a man who calls himself the "Reverend." She was finally freed at the age of 29 and thrust into the media spotlight and received her 5 mins of fame. But rather than going back to her old life in Indiana (and finally being able to finish the rest of her the eighth grade education) she decides to reclaim her life and stick it out in New York City, where she finds a place to live thanks to new roommate Titus (Tituss Burgess) and something that somewhat resembling employment thanks to rich New York wife and mother Jacqueline (Jane Krakowski).  We get to see her struggle and and try to navigate though her newly found life.

You'll Most Likely be Drawn to It If: you enjoyed most NBC comedies circa 2005-2010, or even "30 Rock" & "The Office" when they were still running
